About the Director

Michael J. Saul (AKA Moonspinner) is an acclaimed filmmaker and animator whose career spans decades. A pioneer in the San Francisco art film scene of the 1980s, he produced a series of experimental films that garnered international recognition. Saul's collaboration with producing partner Heath Daniels resulted in award-winning films like "Go Go Reject" and "Adults Only."

His most recent feature, "The Surface," premiered at the Frameline San Francisco LGBTQ+ Film Festival, earning rave reviews. With a passion for pushing the boundaries of traditional filmmaking, Saul's work explores the intersection of art, science, and spirituality.
