Project Description

In the realm of experiential art and design, METALLWALD³ emerges as a pioneering endeavor, a testament to the transformative power of perspective, light and sound. This project, our inaugural foray into dome projection, is a profound exploration of the interplay between form, space, and perception. The dome, with its spherical form, serves as our medium of expression. Its roundness provides an interesting contrast to the cubistic renderings that it houses. This juxtaposition is not just visual, but also conceptual, inviting the viewers to reconsider their understanding of space and form. The content of METALLWALD³ is inspired by the principles of Cubism, a movement that revolutionized visual arts by introducing a new perspective on reality. This approach allows us to venture into the abstract, moving away from the literal to embrace the interpretive. Our focus on perspective perception and different lighting situations is a modest exploration of the viewer’s sensory experience. By changing the way light interacts with the cubistic architectural structure, we subtly influence how the space is perceived, guiding the viewer’s journey within the dome. Sound design is a key element of METALLWALD³. It features a deep, immersive soundscape, delivered in a three-dimensional format across 32 channels. Each of the three (visual) scenarios within the work has its own distinct auditory character, enhancing the overall sensory experience. This multi-layered sound design complements the visual narrative, offering a holistic and captivating journey within the dome. The ultimate aim of METALLWALD³ is to provide an immersive journey for the viewer. Through the careful orchestration of form, light, perspective and sound, we aim to transport the viewer into a realm of aesthetic contemplation, where the boundaries between the self and the artwork become blurred. In essence, METALLWALD³ is not just a dome projection; it is a quiet celebration of the potential of art and design, a sensory journey that encourages viewers to engage with space and form in novel ways. It is a humble tribute to the boundless possibilities that emerge when we dare to see the world from a different perspective. ruestungsschmie.de ® loves you.
